Join this free community event on at The Round House, to celebrate History Month.

The theme for South Australia’s History Festival 2024 is ‘power’. Power means a lot of things, in a lot of places and spaces. There is power in science, power in art, power in the food we share and the clothes we wear. There is power in industry. There is power in storytelling. Above all, there is power in people.

This one-day History Month event will be hosted at the Round House between 11am and 3 pm including free entry and tours, live music, gin tasting, and food and beverages available to be purchased.

The Round House is one of Murray Bridge's oldest surviving buildings, completed in 1876 during the construction of the first bridge to span the Murray River. This historic home played a significant role in the early history of the township and now operates as a vibrant community space that welcomes visitors and tells the story of the bridge and early township.

Join in the fun of the South Australian History Festival and learn about Murray Bridge’s early history.
